The invitation to exhibit at Bernie Grant Arts Centre in 2023 was a significant moment in Simon Wheatley's career as it underlined the respect he has earned within London's black community. Bernie Grant was a long-serving member of parliament for Tottenham known for his political radicalism and his stance on issues such as reparations, and the arts centre named after him is of the same essence. Moreover, the exhibition was held at part of Black History Month, further underlining the importance of the work to the community. All copies are made in London and hand signed on the front.
